Financial Controller

We seek an experienced Controller to join our team. This position reports to the Corporate Controller and will be working closely with the VP, Chief Accounting Officer, International Controllers, and Accounting Hubs.

The Controller will play a pivotal role in managing accuracy and completeness of accounting records under US GAAP, local legers as well as tax compliance aspects. This role will be actively involved in driving process improvements in the worldwide financial closing and reporting process. 

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, technically proficient in US GAAP, statutory reporting,  NetSuite and local Taxes with a history of previous controllership roles. This person should also have proven success in working cross-functionally and have excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting with adherence to US GAAP and local statutory principles for Egypt and Morocco 

  • Oversee standard controllership activities including the following:

    • Maintaining the general ledger
    • Supporting the month end close process
    • Ensuring accuracy of intercompany reconciliations
    • Adhering to a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risks
  • Coordinate all the above functions with an outsourced provider and the internal international accounting service center. 
  • Ensure compliance with all tax related matters in the Egypt and Morocco 
  • Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Provide expertise on local Tax regulatory framework 
  • Coordinate with FP&A to produce monthly and quarterly Forecast vs. Actual reporting.
  • Provide proactive cross-functional support to various departments, embodying a customer service mentality
  • Provide local financial, tax, accounting and reporting expertise for decision making
  • Able to work with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in Accounting and Tax, 2-3 years’ experience as a Controller
  • Big 4 Accounting background  
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and US Tax regulations
  • Experience working in technology companies is preferred
  • Proficiency with NetSuite is preferred
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
