Senior Event Specialist

We’re hiring a Senior Event Specialist to lead our global event strategy and execution — from the global final to regional pitch days, dinners, panels, and conference activations. You’ll build event playbooks and partner models from scratch, shaping how Aurora connects with bold women founders and local communities in overlooked ecosystems.

This role requires autonomy, operational sharpness, and a “done is better than perfect” mindset. You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, community, and project teams, managing all event logistics and evaluating outcomes. Experience in emerging markets, cross-cultural work, and frequent travel are essential. Passion for female founders and the venture ecosystem is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning execution and delivery of all Aurora events including pitch days dinners summits and the global final
  • Manage logistics vendor sourcing legal coordination staffing and on site execution
  • Collaborate with marketing to build communication strategies including landing pages registration flows content and follow up
  • Drive event storytelling across social media channels including speaker announcements live updates and recaps
  • Build and manage event digital infrastructure including RSVP tracking and waitlist tools
  • Maintain operational clarity including budgets timelines staffing plans and reporting
  • Align with internal teams including PR internal comms and regional leads to ensure strategic consistency
  • Contribute to the long term event and community strategy for Aurora
  • Deliver post event reports with insights for future improvement

Qualifications

  • 4 plus years of experience in event management or project management with regional or international scope
  • Proven experience delivering high quality events from concept to execution
  • Strong operational and logistical skills with a structured and organized working style
  • Experience working across multiple regions and managing cross cultural partnerships
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across departments including marketing PR and comms
  • Background in non commercial events such as pitch competitions community summits or social impact programs
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken additional languages are a plus
  • Comfortable using digital tools including landing pages RSVP systems and event management platforms
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail and strong brand alignment
