Equity Administrator

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Equity Administrator to own the day-to-day operations of our company’s equity program. You’ll be the go-to person for everything related to Carta, ensuring that all equity data is accurate, compliant, and up to date. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Legal, and HR, and requires a mix of precision, process discipline, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage our equity platform (Carta): maintain cap table accuracy and process new grants, exercises, transfers, and repurchases
  • Support equity events: handle option grants, RSUs, refreshers, and secondary transactions together with Legal and Finance
  • Ensure compliance with 409A valuations, board approvals, audit trails, and ISO/NQSO requirements
  • Act as the main point of contact for employees regarding vesting, exercises, and equity statements
  • Reconcile equity data with HRIS, payroll, and accounting systems; prepare reports for executives and auditors
  • Support governance and reporting for board meetings, investor requests, and audit reviews
  • Improve processes and documentation to make equity administration more efficient and scalable

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in equity administration, stock plan management, or total rewards
  • Hands-on experience with Carta (or similar platforms like Shareworks, Eqvista, or Pulley)
  • Strong understanding of stock options, RSUs, cap tables, and 409A valuations
  • Familiarity with US equity regulations (ISO/NQSO rules, Rule 701, Form 3921/3922)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Nice to have: CEP certification (or in progress), experience with international or cross-border equity programs, and exposure to startup or venture-backed environments
