Play a key role in enhancing the quality and reliability of our geospatial services by diving deep into geographic data and spatial analytics. Your work will ensure users experience accurate address search, seamless routing, and efficient pick-up/drop-off coordination.

You’ll analyze and maintain complex cartographic databases, assess and improve geodata quality, and identify inefficiencies through spatial analysis. Collaborate with engineering, data science, and cartography teams to investigate mapping issues and deliver solutions that directly impact user satisfaction and platform performance.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and maintenance of cartographic DataBases.
  • Conduct indepth analysis of various geographic and spatial data sources to assess their completeness, accuracy, relevance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of core geospatial services, including address autocomplete, forward and reverse geocoding, and routing performance.
  • Investigate and diagnose geospatial issues such as inaccurate pick up or drop off locations, suboptimal routing paths, or user complaints associated with mapping errors.
  • Perform spatial analysis to detect and visualize problem areas, including high driver/passenger mismatch zones, cancellation clusters, and routing inefficiencies.
  • Work closely with engineering, data science, and cartography teams to drive continuous improvements in geodata coverage, quality, and service reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Geoinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience working with geospatial data and spatial analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and BigQuery.
  • Basic Programming skills in Python for geodata processing and research automation.
  • Experience using GIS tools (e.g., QGIS) and webbased platforms for spatial data visualization.
  • Solid understanding of geospatial data formats and concepts (e.g., WKT, WKB, GeoJSON, coordinate reference systems).
  • Familiarity with routing, geocoding, and mapping APIs.
  • Experience working with OpenStreetMap (OSM) datasets.
