We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, Corporate Controller to lead our global accounting operations across multiple regions, including the US, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC. This is a critical leadership position reporting to the VP, Chief Accounting Officer, with direct oversight of a distributed team of International Controllers and a mandate to scale a world-class, globally compliant accounting organization.


You will work in close partnership with our Accounting Shared Services Center, Reporting & Controlling, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury teams to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reporting under both US GAAP and local statutory requirements. Your leadership will be essential in driving global close efficiency, enabling automation, and aligning global accounting operations with our business expansion and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of international controllers.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of consolidated financial reporting under US GAAP in partnership with the Reporting & Controlling team.
  • Drive compliance with local statutory accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions. Ensure appropriate attention to regulatory changes in the local jurisdictions.
  • Oversee local statutory reporting and audits, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and regulatory requirements in each operating country.
  • Oversee the month- and quarter-end close processes under US GAAP and under Statutory requirements for international subsidiaries, ensuring timely, accurate reporting
  • Own and oversee general ledger management, intercompany reconciliations, and global adherence to internal financial controls.
  • Coordinate closely with our Shared Service Accounting Center , outsourced providers, and cross-functional teams to align all accounting activities.


Process Improvement & Policy Development

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for the global close process, focusing on automation, scalability, and standardization.
  • Develop and implement robust global accounting policies and procedures to ensure alignment with both US GAAP and local statutory frameworks.
  • Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, accounting issues, and risks with a proactive, data-driven mindset.


Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with FP&A to deliver accurate and timely Forecast vs. Actual variance reporting.
  • Collaborate with Tax and Treasury to support international tax planning, cash flow forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with the Reporting and Controlling team on Consolidation under US GAAP rules
  • Support the successful transition of work from outsourced providers to the in-house Shared Service Center in India, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational stability.
  • Provide thought leadership and accounting expertise to support strategic decision-making at the executive level.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Accounting and Tax, with at least 3 years in a Corporate Controller or equivalent leadership role.
  • Proven track record managing global accounting teams and leading multi-entity, international close processes.
  • Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep technical expertise in US GAAP, including consolidation, foreign currency, and intercompany transactions.
  • Solid understanding of international tax frameworks and local statutory accounting/reporting requirements.
  • NetSuite proficiency is strongly preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global functions.
  • Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and self-motivated, with a passion for continuous improvement and scalable processes.
