We are currently looking for a Senior BI Engineer, who will be responsible for design, development, analysis, and automation of reporting pipelines

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, development, analysis, and automation of analytical reporting pipelines — from data collection and transformation to visualization
  • Development, modeling, and maintenance of ETL / ELT processes that surface critical business signals from large and heterogeneous data sources using dbt and BigQuery
  • Design and maintenance of analytical datasets and data models used for reporting and decision-making
  • Development and support of dashboards and analytical reports in Tableau and Looker
  • Participation in updating, validating, and improving metrics calculation methodology
  • Support of downstream data users:
  • debugging and optimizing SQL queries
  • improving data models and performance
  • sharing context around data and metrics
  • Collaboration with customers, data owners, and business stakeholders responsible for data processing
  • Analysis of technical and business documentation, Preparation and maintenance of technical and project documentation
  • Version control and collaborative development using Git
  • Contribution to team standards, best practices, and knowledge sharing

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining analytical data pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with Airflow, including scheduling, monitoring, retries, dependency management, and failure handling
  • Strong experience with cloud DWHs; BigQuery expertise as an advantage (performance optimization, partitioning, clustering, cost control).
  • Confident use of dbt in production environments (data modeling, incremental models, tests, macros, documentation)
  • Experience working with Tableau and Looker or similar
  • Understanding of advanced BI concepts such as LOD expressions, table calculations, sets, and data blending
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of analytical logic
  • Familiarity with Python for data and automation tasks
  • Responsible and proactive mindset, with willingness to propose and drive improvements
