We are looking for an IMSS Supervisor is an in-house expert on Mexican Social Security regulations which is needed with regards to the recently launched labour reform requiring digital platform to pay social security contributions for drivers and couriers.
Perform the IMSS and INFONAVIT contribution calculations.
Supervise the daily process of registrations ensuring 100% adherence to deadlines.
Establish and regularly update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the IMSS registration and contributions cycle.
Design and execute internal audit protocols to ensure the accuracy of all IMSS submissions and contribution payments as well as assist with data during the IMSS Dictamen process (certified opinion).
Serve as the point of escalation for complex IMSS issues.
Supervision and determination and payment of IMSS, SAR, INFONAVIT for +15K employees.
Supervision in the correct integration/understanding of the base salary IMSS.
Management of membership transactions with IMSS and SUA (registrations, deregistrations, salary modifications).
Manage and lead the tax reports and documentation for audits.
In charge of annual declaration-calculation of the Work Risk Premium to the IMSS.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Minimum 5-8 years of dedicated experience in Mexican HR, Payroll, or Social Security compliance. At least 2 years should be in a senior position
Experience managing IMSS compliance for high-turnover or non-traditional workforces (e.g., gig workers, temporary staffing, high-volume production, logistics)
Proven experience in successfully preparing for and representing the company during IMSS and INFONAVIT compliance audits or inspections (e.g., Auditorías Específicas).
Experience responding to official difference notices (cédulas de diferencias) and resolving disputes.
Experience in designing, testing, or auditing the payroll interface between an HRIS/Platform database and IMSS digital submission tools (like IDSE/IMSS Digital Module).
Advanced knowledge of the Reglamento de la Ley del Seguro Social concerning work risks. This includes the annual calculation of the Prima de Riesgo de Trabajo and handling complex ST-7 form.
Deep familiarity with the Buzón IMSS (IMSS Electronic Mailbox) and the legal procedures for obtaining a Positive Compliance Opinion.
Advanced Excel or SQL proficiency to analyze large, dynamic payroll datasets, reconcile IMSS payments against internal records, and identify data anomalies that signal fraud or error.
Experience in procedures with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) related to disability, maternity, pensions, etc.
In charge of use of official portals (INFONAVIT, SIPARE, IDSE, SUA) to comply with tax and social security obligations.
