Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable, high performance microservices in Go (Golang).
Work on complex distributed systems handling millions of transactions daily with a focus on reliability and efficiency.
Optimize database performance through smart indexing and efficient queries for large scale document storage.
Implement encryption strategies and ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
Collaborate with frontend teams to define clear API contracts and deliver seamless, responsive experiences.
Integrate with a wide range of external services and APIs to expand platform functionality.
Partner with product managers and stakeholders to translate real world business needs into robust, scalable backend solutions.

Experience with Golang Proficient in APIs and microservices architecture, including design and implementation
Good experience with SQL databases MySQL, PostgreSQL and familiarity with non relational databases
Experience with event driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka)
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack
Good grasp of server side and client side development limitations
Ability to implement technical solutions within a team setting
Previous experience working with geospatial data or building Geo enabled products (e.g., maps, routing, location based services)
Familiarity with tools like PostGIS, GIS libraries, routing engines or map data ingestion pipelines will be considered a strong advantage.
