We are looking for a Senior GEO Analyst to investigate issues related to inaccurate pick-up/drop-off points, poor routing, and user complaints linked to geodata.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep analysis of geographic data sources, evaluate their completeness, accuracy, and applicability to business needs
  • Analyze and monitor the quality of geospatial services such as address autocomplete, geocoding, reverse geocoding, and routing
  • Investigate issues related to inaccurate pick-up/drop-off points, poor routing, and user complaints linked to geodata
  • Perform spatial analysis to identify problem zones, inefficiencies in driver-passenger coordination, and areas with high cancellation or error rates
  • Produce analytical reports with actionable insights and data-driven recommendations for product and engineering teams
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and cartographers to improve the quality and coverage of geospatial data and services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geoinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Proven experience in geospatial analytics
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (we use PostgreSQL/PostGIS and BigQuery)
  • Proficient in Python or R for geodata processing and research automation
  • Experience working with GIS tools (e.g., QGIS) and web-based platforms for spatial data visualization.
  • Solid understanding of geospatial formats and concepts
  • Familiarity with routing, geocoding, and mapping APIs
  • Familiarity with OSM (OpenStreetMap) datasets
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience collaborating with product and engineering teams.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for solving real-world problems through data.
