Responsibilities

  • Participating in tax structuring of the Group’s international operations and tax risk management.
  • Participating in the development of the operational structure and assessment of the tax risks associated with conducting business in foreign countries.
  • Communicating with consultants in the countries where the Group operates.
  • Setting up the process of tax reporting and payment of taxes in the countries where the Group operates.
  • Participating in tax structuring of international non-commercial/charity projects of the Group.
  • Establishing and controlling processes related to the issuance of invoices and the automatic exchange of fiscal data with local fiscal authorities.
  • Supervising the development of the Group’s tax accounting methodologies.
  • Participating in the analysis of the tax aspects of significant commercial, technical, and other projects of the Group in the countries of its presence, international operations, as well as contracts and policies.
  • Participating in the development of procedures to improve the Group’s tax efficiency and tax risk management.
  • Supervising communications with tax authorities, forming the company’s legal position, preparing responses and documentation related to tax requests, and analyzing documents required to defend the company’s position.
  • Interacting with the company’s business units in the implementation of the Group’s projects

Qualifications

  • Higher education in finance, economics, and law
  • 3+ years of work experience in tax consulting/tax compliance or in the tax department of an international company
  • Understanding of the principles and trends of international taxation and tax planning (international tax treaties, EU directives, OECD initiatives, BEPS plan, etc.)
  • Experience in the field of international taxation (Kazakhstan, Latin America, Brazil, Southeast Asia (SEA), India, USA, etc.) is a significant advantage
  • Management and analytical skills
  • Proficient in English (Advanced level)
