Responsibilities

  • Design and roll out a comprehensive ERM framework that identifies critical risks (operational, financial, compliance, etc.) locally and globally.
  • Define risk appetite and tolerance in alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Proactively identify risks that could impact business objectives, including emerging risks like cybersecurity threats, geopolitical instability, and regulatory changes.
  • Establish governance structures and processes for global risk reporting.
  • Implement and conduct regular risk assessments, risk mapping, and scenario analysis.
  • Report risk exposures and trends to the compliance director and senior management.
  • Work closely with various departments (e.g., finance, operations, compliance, legal, IT) and international offices to embed risk management into their processes.
  • Coordinate risk management efforts with regional teams, ensuring alignment with corporate risk objectives.
  • Develop and monitor risk mitigation plans and controls, ensuring they are appropriately implemented and effective.
  • Use key risk indicators (KRIs) to track risk exposure and trends.
  • Respond to risk events and coordinate crisis management when necessary.
  • Promote a risk-aware culture across the organization by providing training, guidance, and awareness programs.
  • Establish policies and best practices related to risk management.
  • Leverage risk management software and analytics tools to monitor and predict risks globally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Risk Professional (CRP), or equivalent. 
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including financial regulations, data privacy laws, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 31000, COSO ERM Framework).
  • 7+ years of experience in risk management, ideally with international exposure.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing ERM frameworks in global organizations. Experience in an IT industry is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise risk management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience working across cultures and geographies. Ability to work under pressure and manage crises or unexpected risk events.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and data analytics tools.
